No More Nexus, Meet the new Pixel from google




What is it?

Google officially announced Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones which is completely designed by Google. The New Pixel Lineup already replaced the Nexus on the website. 5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Under the hood is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 64-bit quad-core chipset clocked at 2.15GHz. The smartphone also comes with an Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB and 128GB onboard storage options.
The Pixel smartphone features a 12.3-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, and LED flash. Google claims it is the best smartphone camera ever with a DxOMark score of 89. There are camera features like HDR+, and Smartburst that lets users click multiple photos and then let them choose the best one. For video recording, the camera supports 4K resolution and comes with video stabilization. Pixel buyers will get unlimited photo and video storage on Google Photos at maximum resolution for lifetime.
Up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera, and a 2,770mAh battery that Google says is good enough for 32 hours of talktime and up to 552 hours on standby mode. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS USB Type-C and NFC.
 The Pixel Xl version packs a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display which too is protected by Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Another difference is the larger 3,450mAh battery that Google says is good enough for 26 hours of talktime and up to 456 hours on standby mode. Both devices come with a fingerprint scanner placed at the back of the device.



Price

Prices for the new Pixel smartphones start from $649 in the US. For the Indian market, prices for the Google Pixel smartphones start from Rs 57,000. Preorders for the new Pixel smartphones start from October 13, and they will be available across a wide variety of stores like Reliance Digital, Croma and Vijay sales among others. These smartphones will also be available online via Flipkart.
